New Home

Post by Goose » Fri Apr 05, 2002 12:32

Hello all -- and welcome to the new home of the FF Bulletin Board: Command Central.

You will notice that I have managed to move all posts from the old board to this new, hopefully better, board.

You will also notice that you do not yet have access to any of the private boards and those with moderator rights do not have moderator rights right now. Do not despair, however: Boris (Neo) and I will set up moderators ASAP. About access to private forums, well...click Usergroups in the menu and choose the group you would would like to be a member of and Boris will grant/deny you access.

As soon as it is ready, I will install a darker theme than this one and when that time comes you will be able to choose it in your profile. Until then, you will have to wear sunglasses when viewing the board. ;)

You can upload your own avatar from your profile as well. If you don't have it, then email me at martin@w3realm.net and I will get it from the old server.

Oh, and yes...the sigs do show twice. This is because phpbb2 stores them separately (not with the posts) and append them when showing a post while Snitz (the old board) stored them inside each post.

I would suggest you go to your profile and try the different settings in there.

If you have questions, then please don't hesitate to ask Boris or myself.

Happy posting! :)

Absolutely nothing -- it's just that this board is much faster and far more flexible than the old one.

So, can you make a new logo? :help:

Oh, and welcome back...I hope you had a good vacation :)

Just a question: Where do we find out about upcoming events (i.e. SW matches)?

Had???

I am still on holiday mate, only been away 3 days! :P

Yeah I can make a new logo and if no one is against it, I would like admins and I'll do the colour scheme to go with the logo. Take the admins off me after if you wish. Just makes it easier for me.

I will do all that when I get back though, not doing anything like that on holiday, oh and it looks crap on here anyway.

Yes, apparently we don't have a few private forums anymore either (Tactics & Lessons, Training room, Squad disscussion)....can we at all have them put back up because they did serve an important purpose....

Gotta agree on that. But this board is in PHP, maybe I'll write a mod to make the calender show up like it did on the old baby
